Jenggala.id – The Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, has announced that Finland will officially become the 31st member of the military alliance on Tuesday (4/4/2023).
Russia has responded firmly by increasing its military presence near Finland.
“We will strengthen our military potential towards the west and northwest,” said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko, as quoted by the RIA Novosti news agency.

“In terms of deploying troops and other NATO resources in the Finland region, we will take additional steps to ensure Russia’s military security reliably,” he said.
Russia and Finland share a 1,300-kilometer (800-mile) border. Finland and Sweden have abandoned their military non-alignment policy for decades and signed up to join the Western military alliance last May after Moscow invaded Ukraine.
