Rosatom also released data on the radiation levels in the nearby city of Novouralsk, stating that it remains within normal limits.
The leaked material, which is a byproduct of uranium enrichment, is used as a secondary uranium source in the production of nuclear fuel for power plants, as well as in industrial fluorine manufacturing.
